There was a time when I thought I was just a Messie. But as I have lived longer and experienced more I have realized that I used to be paralyzed by perfection. Years of unfinished projects, and more nagging piles of stuff collected to something I planned to start someday. The old magazines with a couple of unread articles in each. The cross stitch flowers that needed to be undone and redone right. The kitchen gadgets I had bought and didn't like using.
Then enters flylady. Her slogans:"even housework done imperfectly, still blesses your family", "you cannot clean clutter", "you can do anything for 15 minutes" have changed the way I live. If I don't like how the project is turning out I throw it out. I can give away a magazine after reading only the article or two in it I am interested in, though I still find I am not content without looking at all the pictures. I still try kitchen and other types of gadgets but now if I don't like using them they are out of here.
I cannot say that I have arrived. But my home is a much better place to live in that it was 5 years ago. And my heart is not so cluttered with all the stuff piled all over the place.
Perfection can keep you from starting because you don't have the time to do it all the way. I started by setting the timer for 15 minutes and spending that time working on the area that bothered me the most. Just start chipping at the problem areas and you will be amazed what you can do.

What is FTS Helps?
FTS Helps is my business. It is a little hard to describe so stick with me a minute and you will understand exactly what I do.
Imagine your to-do list. Some things on it you can delegate, some things might be physically difficult or imposable for you to do, some things feel overwhelming when you even see them on the list and other things you don't even put on your list because they are too hard to deal with.
I'm the person who comes alongside you and helps with those things. It might be decluttering a closet, organizing your kitchen, weeding the flower garden, planting a shrub, sorting through clothes. I come with a joyful heart, a strong back, a helping hand and encouragement to see those things done.
I love my job and enjoy seeing people free of these burdens and more able to walk in what they are created to be.
